Caroline, do you know a couple of animals that use camouflage? Some examples are chameleons, leopards, polar bears, turtles, and Arctic owls!

Hi Ben!

You seem to like insects, especially beetles! Do you know of any other beetles that live in the Amazon River basin of South America?

hint: see website

If you like the pictures in this book, like Emily said she did, you should check out Steven Jenkins' other books, too! He even has a website (www.stevenjenkinsbooks.com) with a gallery of some more of his collage illustrations. His other books, like ACTUAL SIZE, PREHISTORIC ACTUAL SIZE, and my favorite, LIVING COLOR. He seems to really like making animals.

I am so glad you all enjoyed the book and are interesting in reading more books by these authors. Steve Jenkins and Robin Page have worked together many times. Some of their other books that I think you will enjoy are What Do You Do With a Tail Like This? (a Caldecott Honor book), How Many Ways Can You Catch a Fly?, Sisters and Brothers: Sibling Relationships in the Animal World, Move!, and Animals in Flight. Also, did you know that Steve Jenkins and Robin Page are married? They are currently living in Colorado with their three children. Hope you enjoy looking at their other collaborations!
